Created in 1967, by the Caribbean Committee for cultural advancement to celebrate carnival arts and improve the economic and social position of the Caribbean community in Toronto

Two of the original objectives of the founders was to first, create a scholarship fund for our youth and second, build a Cultural Centre.The Caribana Arts Group are redefining these objectives, among others, as priorities for the organization and for community development.

To achieve the highest artistic standards and professionalism in the presentation of the multiple disciplines of the carnival arts of the Caribbean and the Americas through comprehensive educational and development programs.
